![Lucy Bettis Truck](Photos/truck_bettis_home_small.jpg) |
Lucy Bettis and Robbie Ryse,
Wildfire Sled Dogs, Truckee, CAThe truck is a 1994 Chevy 1 ton
dually, crew cab with Aluminum wheels. The truck was converted to a 9 foot flatbed. The
box was made to fit the bed and is removable using 2 or 4 camper jacks.
The box is wood with a metal skin and has 16 dog boxes with powder coated
metal doors. Two boxes are separated by a folding wall that folds out of the way to create
a double wide box to haul a bitch with a litter of puppies or an injured dog. The box has
work lights on the sides and rear and interior lights in the center storage aisle. The
rear of the box has room for gear and a center aisle runs the length of the box for
interior storage. (It holds more junk than anyone really ever needs.) |
