Curuchet, musher, breeder and owner Valle de Lobos (Valley of Wolfs) -
Akeeata, a center of breeding and training of sled dogs. I have 70 Alaskan
Huskies and i have been working with short and long distance excursions with
tourism for more than 25 years. I have crossed the Patagonian Southern Ice
Field and ran Iditarod in 2001,
becoming the 1st South American musher to participate. I have done
several crossing in Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia, worked with winter sled
dog schools and worked for about 7 years with visually impaired.
I am thinking of creating a program to start an exchange/internship with
handlers and mushers from other regions of the world to learn and teach
other generations of mushers. The internship would also include housing and
food, a salary depending of experience and the possibility of running a mid
distance race here in Patagonia. I am always open to suggestions and
